Our mother’s been a source of strength,
For she will go to any length
To help all those who are in need.
Students new in town she’d feed-
Curry rice, samosas, sweet,
Till they were quickly on their feet.
By her example she shows the way
In fact, she would often say,
“To have a friend, just be a friend.”
And for those in need, she would spend
All that she had instinctively!
She gives her all to family .
From her we learn selfless love
And faith, not just in God above,
But in ourselves and in each other.
We know we can depend on mother.
She gives the world her love and care
And always lives our daily prayer-
“The good mind is for he who protects
And nourishes the poor.” She elects
To cook for every Parsi feast,
Delicious food from the East.
Although she would never preach
By example she would teach,
Selfless caring was instilled
And then in turn her dreams fulfilled.
All her children did her proud.
With good values we were endowed
From her we learned the art of sharing
And were inspired to be caring.
There is no better way of feeling
Love for your fellowmen than healing.
And so all four of us went in
The practice of Medicine.
For us three sisters and our brother
In our lives there is no other
That compares to our mother.
